F‑PACE SVR DRIVING PERFORMANCE
In the F‑PACE SVR, Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) has created an SUV that can accelerate to 100 km/h in an impressive 4.3 seconds.
Standard All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
The standard F-PACE All-Wheel Drive system uses Intelligent Driveline Dynamics software for agile handling and to minimize understeer. The F-PACE always drives, feels and handles like a Jaguar vehicle.
Robust Lightweight Aluminum Architecture
The F-PACE lightweight aluminum architecture is robust and strong and its reduced weight boosts efficiency and enhances handling and braking. The F-PACE offers a weight distribution with a near perfect 50:50 balance for sporting performance and an impeccable ride.
The F-PACE offers a choice of gas engines, including two from our Ingenium range. These 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Turbocharged Ingenium gas engines, with outputs of either 247 hp or 296 hp, deliver outstanding usable power and torque. With their lightweight design and widespread use of low-friction roller bearings, they are built for smooth, highly efficient performance.
All of the Jaguar F-PACE gas engines offer power and responsiveness. Shared with the F-TYPE, the 3.0-litre V6 Supercharged gas engine offers 380 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. Available in the F-PACE SVR, the 5.0-litre, 550 hp V8 engine offers an astonishing 502 lb-ft of torque. Both deliver instant performance at all engine speeds, as well as a unique soundtrack.
The Jaguar F‑PACE 8-speed automatic transmission and the F-PACE SVR 8-speed automatic QuickShift transmission are highly responsive, smooth and efficient. They deliver rapid shifting for effortless acceleration and passing. You can also manually control gearshifts via the steering wheel paddles.
All-Surface Progress Control and Adaptive Surface Response
The Jaguar All-Surface Progress Control (ASPC) is a low-speed cruise control that helps you maintain optimum handling in low-traction situations. On vehicles fitted with Adaptive Dynamics, optional Adaptive Surface Response (AdSR) recognizes differences between surfaces to exploit available grip by adjusting engine and brake settings.
The unique JaguarDrive Control system offers quicker shifts and sportier kickdown in Dynamic Mode, and earlier up-shifts in Eco Mode to improve efficiency, while the Rain/Ice/Snow Mode switches to more gentle progress in low grip conditions. It allows you to choose between exploiting the full Jaguar F‑PACE dynamic performance and maximizing its fuel economy.
Torque Vectoring by Braking Technology
Torque Vectoring by Braking technology provides controlled independent braking on the individual inside front and rear wheels to maximize capability through even the tightest corners, reducing understeer and delivering sports car-like agility and added driver confidence.
Electric Power Assisted Steering
Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) offers incredible feedback and control. It is active on demand which helps you save power for where you really need it, as well as save fuel. EPAS’s sophisticated computer management varies steering assistance as appropriate – increasing assistance for low speed manoeuvring and improving feel at higher speeds.
Whether you’re accelerating on the highway, cornering on country roads or navigating around town, Adaptive Dynamics modifies the Jaguar F-PACE response to match the conditions and your driving style. The system constantly adjusts the dampers to provide the optimum balance between poise and comfort.
Inspired by the F‑TYPE sports car, the optional Configurable Dynamics* system allows you to set up the F‑PACE dynamics for throttle mapping, transmission shift points and steering to suit your performance driving needs. It’s activated when Dynamic Mode is selected in JaguarDrive Control. Dynamic Mode enlivens the sporting character of the F‑PACE, sharpening throttle response, increasing steering weighting and performing gearshifts more quickly and at higher engine speeds.
